Safeguarding Officer - Further Education

Location: East London
Contract: Temporary, until 23 October
Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay: £22 per hour via umbrella
Start date: As soon as possible, subject to vetting
Key responsibilities:
- Respond to safeguarding concerns and support learners who may be at risk.
- Record concerns accurately and confidentially, following college safeguarding procedures.
- Work with the designated safeguarding team, college staff and external agencies to ensure learners receive appropriate support.
- Help promote a safe, inclusive learning environment across the college.
Requirements:
- Experience in a safeguarding role, ideally within further education or a similar setting.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding procedures and the ability to handle sensitive information with care.
- An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service.
