This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Lecturer to join a supportive FE environment, delivering high-quality teaching and helping learners develop their skills and achieve their qualifications.

💷 Pay: Up to £38 per hour
📄 Contract: Temporary
⏰ Hours: Full-time & Part-time
📅 Start Date: ASAP

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons across relevant levels and qualifications.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support learners with different abilities and learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
• Ensure teaching meets safeguarding, equality and quality standards.

👤 About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience teaching English within a Further Education setting.
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and/or Literature.
• Experience delivering and assessing relevant qualifications.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A recognised teaching qualification or relevant teaching experience.
• A genuine passion for supporting learners and helping them achieve their potential.

Desirable

• PGCE, Cert Ed or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English.
• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs.
