🚨 RECOVERY COORDINATOR - BARNET, NORTH LONDON 🚨

📍 Location: Barnet, North London

⏰ Hours: 37.5 hours per week

📄 Contract: Temporary - 3-month cover

🤝 Sector: Drug & Alcohol Recovery / Community Support

💷 PAY DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE - UMBRELLA

🔹 Less than 12 months' experience: £16-£18ph

🔹 1-3 years' experience: £18-£20ph

🔹 3+ years' experience: Up to £22ph

🌟 THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join a dedicated drug and alcohol recovery service in Barnet.

You'll manage your own caseload, build positive relationships with service users and work closely with healthcare professionals and partner agencies to provide person-centred, recovery-focused support.

🧠 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

🔹 Manage an allocated caseload as Care Coordinator

🔹 Complete assessments, screening and recovery plans

🔹 Use motivational interviewing to encourage positive change

🔹 Deliver 1-to-1 key work, POD and group sessions

🔹 Complete risk assessments and management plans

🔹 Triage service users and make appropriate onward referrals

🔹 Work alongside prescribing clinicians and healthcare professionals

🔹 Promote harm reduction and overdose prevention

🔹 Support Naloxone distribution and Needle Exchange services

🔹 Provide BBV and safer-use health education

🔹 Carry out urine/saliva testing and DBST where appropriate

🔹 Connect service users with mutual aid and recovery communities

🔹 Liaise with GPs, hospitals and partner agencies

🔹 Maintain accurate and confidential case records

🔹 Contribute to duty cover and the wider running of the service

❤️ WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:

✅ Experienced within substance misuse/recovery services

✅ Confident with assessments, support planning and risk management

✅ Compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental

✅ Experienced in managing a caseload of vulnerable service users

✅ Comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team

✅ Passionate about harm reduction and recovery-focused practice

✅ Organised, flexible and confident working independently
