Revenues Manager

Morgan Hunt's client based in the West Midlands is looking to recruit Revenues Manager to provide cover for a permanent vacancy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of staff who administer all aspects of Council Tax Billing and Collection.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

- Proficiently use the Iworld/Northgate Version 6 ICT System
- Lead a team of Revenues Officers responsible for administering the Billing, Collection and Recovery of Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR)
- Carry out appraisals and one to ones
- Allocate work and monitor individual performance
- Ensure liabilities for Council Tax are processed, including discounts and exemptions
- Handle correspondence and contacts from customers relating to Council Tax
- Contact customers to obtain information to enable accurate billing of Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR)
- Deal with more complex queries from customers relating to their Council Tax
- Assist the Head of Revenues in the drafting of complaint responses
- Hold a mature and understanding approach, with the ability to be sympathetic but firm when necessary and tactful when dealing with difficult customers
- Communicate effectively with customers and staff
