Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Years Lecturer to join a forward-thinking organisation in London on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic education professional to inspire and support learners studying Early Years Education and Childcare programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching across Early Years courses (e.g., Childcare, Child Development, Safeguarding, and Early Years Practice)
Plan engaging, inclusive lessons aligned with curriculum and awarding body requirements
Support learners in developing practical skills for working in early years settings
Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on coursework and assignments
Prepare learners for placements and support their progress in real-world childcare environments
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment
Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes
Support learners' progression into employment, apprenticeships, or higher education
Requirements
Relevant qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education, or a related field (Degree preferred)
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one
Experience teaching in Further Education or a similar setting
Industry experience within an early years or childcare setting
Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and safeguarding practices
Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
A passion for supporting learners to succeed in the childcare sector
