Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Years Lecturer to join a forward-thinking organisation in London on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic education professional to inspire and support learners studying Early Years Education and Childcare programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Early Years courses (e.g., Childcare, Child Development, Safeguarding, and Early Years Practice)

• Plan engaging, inclusive lessons aligned with curriculum and awarding body requirements

• Support learners in developing practical skills for working in early years settings

• Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on coursework and assignments

• Prepare learners for placements and support their progress in real-world childcare environments

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment

• Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes

• Support learners' progression into employment, apprenticeships, or higher education

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education, or a related field (Degree preferred)

• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one

• Experience teaching in Further Education or a similar setting

• Industry experience within an early years or childcare setting

• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and safeguarding practices

• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills

• A passion for supporting learners to succeed in the childcare sector
