We're currently supporting a fantastic college in East London who are looking for a dedicated Pastoral Tutor to join their team on a temporary ongoing basis, starting as soon as possible.

In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting students with their personal, social, and academic development. You'll provide guidance and pastoral care, helping learners overcome barriers to learning and ensuring they stay engaged and motivated throughout their studies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and group pastoral support to students

• Monitor attendance, progress, and wellbeing, intervening when necessary

• Liaise with curriculum teams, safeguarding, and student support services to ensure learners receive the right help

• Support learners in developing confidence, resilience, and employability skills

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to learner reviews and reports

Requirements:

• Experience supporting young people in an educational or pastoral setting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students

• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
