Summary
Morgan Hunt are working with a leading housing association who are delivering a high-profile, large-scale external wall remediation programme, and they need a Project Controls Specialist to keep things running smoothly. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you'll be the engine room of project performance, building the frameworks, processes and data that keep the programme on time, on budget, and up to standard.
From scheduling and cost tracking to dashboards, risk analysis and earned value reporting, you'll provide the insight that drives decision-making and ensures transparency for stakeholders. Collaboration is key, you'll work with project managers, consultants, contractors and cost consultants, bringing everyone together to keep projects aligned and accountable.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain project schedules, cost trackers, and dashboards
- Deliver insights through KPI tracking, earned value metrics (CPI, SPI), and performance reports
- Work closely with cost consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
- Identify and flag risks, delays, and scope changes, helping mitigate them early
- Ensure project data supports clear, accurate reporting for stakeholders
About you
- Proven experience in project controls within the construction/built environment
- Skilled in MS Project, Excel, and EVM techniques
- Familiar with change control, risk management, and budget forecasting
- A qualification like PRINCE2, APM, or PMI Practitioner
- Bonus if you've worked on cladding or building remediation
