Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Health sector Regulator in their search for a temporary Fitness to Practise Manager to join the Casework, Enforcement & Customers directorate.

You will be a key member of the Fitness to Practise Directorate responsible for supervising the investigatory work of the Fitness to Practise Investigators and Caseworkers in the Investigations Team. You will ensure that the Director of Fitness to Practise is always adequately informed of matters being dealt with by the Investigations Team and providing, as required, performance data.

The successful post-holder will be an experienced Investigator, ideally with experience in the professional or health care regulation. You will need to have proven ability to led, support, mange and motivate and inspire a team.

You will have experience of working under pressure, effectively planning, prioritising and managing a varied and changing workload to meet different, and often tight, deadlines, whilst maintaining the quality standards. You will be a well-communicated, analytical, detail-orientated individual with the ability to maintain accurate up-to-date case files.

Location: London (1-2 days per week in office)

Daily Rate: £290 Day Rate (Umbrella)

Job Type: 6 months Temporary (Potential for extension, permanency)

Hours: Full-Time

Role Profile

  • Review and triage all new complaints carrying out initial risk assessment
  • Supervise and manage the investigatory work of Paralegals/Caseworkers ensuring adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Lead the Investigations Team with a clear sense of purpose and direction and developing a high-performance culture that delivers the organisation's objectives effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide statistical information as to current case load and predicted throughput of cases to the organisation's Investigating Committee
  • Set, monitor and evaluate casework quality standards which seek to improve the performance of the team thorough continuous and shared learning and development

Person specification

  • Proven experience of casework management as well as experience that demonstrates the capability to understand the regulatory environment and legal frameworks
  • Experience of working in a politically sensitive environment and/or dealt with high profile sensitive issues
  • Proven ability to lead, support, manage, motivate and inspire a team, and foster enthusiasm and innovation.
  • Highly developed ability to pay close attention to detail and quality assure own and other's work
  • Demonstratable track record of commitment to high standards of service delivery and excellent customer care
