Patrick Haston
Patrick leads the UK government’s centre of expertise in implementing SaaS ERP platforms. This team was established to support the Shared Services Strategy for Government.
The Shared Services Strategy for Government will bring about a significant transformation for the UK, bringing 18 departments and about 200 arms-length bodies together in five clusters. Each cluster will provide a shared service centre based around a SaaS ERP.
Patrick’s role includes providing technical advice to the clusters on their ERP implementations, chairing cross government working groups of enterprise architects and cluster data leads, contributing to the cluster CTO group, the cluster design leads and many more. Patrick has also served on the MOD payroll and expenses project programme board and chairs a government Oracle Fusion Cloud user group.
Patrick has over 20 years of experience in ERP and Shared Services and 15 years of managing a software development function. He has written four books, covering software development, leadership and project management, with a fifth, on implementing ERPs, on the way.
