About the Role:
A college in North London is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Lecturer to join the team on a temporary basis. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to learners with diverse SEN profiles.
Support students with a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and moderate learning difficulties.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
Work closely with Learning Support Assistants, parents, and the wider support team to ensure student needs are met.
Contribute to the development of inclusive teaching resources and strategies.
Requirements:
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
Experience working with learners with Special Educational Needs, ideally in an FE or post-16 environment.
Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and inclusive practices.
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
