Accountant

Morgan Hunt has an opportunity for an experienced Accountant to work on a temporary assignment for 4-6 weeks.

This role is with a Public Sector organisation based in the Scottish Borders, however the successful candidate can work remotely. This is an immediate start position therefore candidates must be available within 1 week.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Supporting the preparation of the business annual accounts
• Interpreting and analysing data from the financial systems to include on a statutory basis

Experience required:

• Individual does not need to qualified but should have significant experience in public sector accounts
• Ability to complete Trust and Ltd company accounts with minimal supervision
• Sound understanding of financial systems and the regulatory framework applicable to the preparation of statutory accounting statements
