
Procurement Manager

Pay Rate: £250 - £300 per day
Contract Length: 3 months (With Possible Extension)
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of Procurement to review and enhance procurement systems, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Develop and implement a strategic procurement framework, covering policies, procedures, and supplier management.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with financial regulations and delegated financial authorities.
- Provide expert advice and support to stakeholders on procurement policies, procedures, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage high-value tenders and procurement exercises, ensuring governance and transparency.
- Maintain supplier due diligence, contract management, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct market analysis to drive efficiency, innovation, and cost savings.
- Ensure adherence to public procurement regulations, including managing FTS tendering processes and reporting requirements.
- Train and support internal teams on best procurement practices and compliance.
- Monitor contract performance and supplier relationships, ensuring value for money and service quality.
Key Requirements:
- CIPS qualification or equivalent procurement experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing procurement processes, tenders, and contract negotiations.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-campus environment and prioritise workload effectively.
