Pentagon Talent are thrilled to be partnering once again with a dynamic and forward-thinking Top 50 Accountancy Firm based in the City of London to recruit for an Audit Associate Director. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving and collaborative Audit division at a senior level, where you will play a key role in shaping the department's future. This firm is renowned for delivering exceptional service to a diverse client portfolio, and for fostering a progressive and people-focused culture.


Duties and responsibilities
As an Audit Associate Director, you will take on a high-impact leadership role with responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Acting as a strategic advisor to a portfolio of clients, including SMEs, LLPs, groups, and subsidiaries across a range of sectors.

  • Overseeing and reviewing complex audits and providing technical guidance to teams.

  • Leading audit planning meetings, risk assessments, and final presentations to senior client stakeholders.

  • Driving quality and consistency across audit engagements in line with regulatory and internal standards.

  • Managing, mentoring, and developing managers and senior staff, supporting their technical and leadership growth.

  • Working closely with Partners on business development initiatives and contributing to tenders and proposals.

  • Taking responsibility for billing, budgeting, and overall client satisfaction.

  • Leading on strategic projects and process improvement within the audit function.


Qualifications and skills required
To excel in this role, you will:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally with significant post-qualification experience.

  • Have extensive experience managing audits from planning to completion across a range of industries.

  • Demonstrate strong technical audit knowledge and commercial awareness.

  • Show exceptional leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.

  • Be confident managing teams and developing junior talent.

  • Ideally have experience with Pro-audit and CCH.
