Pentagon Talent are working alongside a leading global law firm is seeking an Partnership Tax Accountant to join their dynamic Tax & Partnership team based in London, with the flexibility of a hybrid working model. The firm prides itself on its progressive approach, working across multiple sectors including construction, aviation, shipping, insurance, commodities, and energy. This permanent role offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, client-focused environment, collaborating with senior stakeholders and providing essential tax compliance and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities for the Partnership Tax Accountant:

  • Prepare tax computations for partnerships and LLPs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Organise and collate information for personal tax reliefs.
  • Assist with bi-annual partner tax payments and work with external tax advisors.
  • Support in calculating partners' tax reserves, including DTR and equalisation.
  • Help manage the firm's cash flow forecasting in relation to tax payments.
  • Review tax and statutory compliance deadlines, ensuring accurate coordination.
  • Periodically review and improve tax processes.
  • Act as a key contact for HMRC, partners, and external tax advisors.
  • Provide support during the Tax Manager's absence.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects related to the firm's and partners' tax affairs.

Key Skills & Experience for the Partnership Tax Accountant:

  • Newly qualified CTA or qualified ATT with at least 3 years of personal tax experience.
  • Experience in partnership tax is desirable.
  • Proven expertise in tax compliance and reporting within professional or financial services.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with Elite 3e is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels.
  • High level of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management, capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with strong ownership of tasks.
